Take Down the Video!

Take Down the Video!

Whereas, Saint Paul Police have published a so-called "Training Video" showing an angry interaction between a permit holder and two Saint Paul police officers.

Whereas, more than 250,000 law-abiding citizens in Minnesota hold a Minnesota Permit to Carry.

Whereas, permit to carry holders in Minnesota are one of the safest and most law-abiding groups of citizens in the State of Minnesota.

Whereas, nearly any permit to carry holder in Minnesota would have handled this situation in an aboveboard, polite, and professional manner when asked by law enforcement to show their permit to carry when approached.

Whereas, the Saint Paul Police Department has created an offensive video that portrays law-abiding permit to carry holders in the worst possible light - contributing to the disinformation about gun owners in Minnesota.

We call upon Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and Chief of Police Todd Axtell to immediately take down the offensive and stereotypical "training video" showing permit holders arguing angrily with two police officers.
