Sign the Petition - Stop Slocum's Gun Ban Bill!

To the Members of the Minnesota Legislature:

  • Whereas, the anti-gun movement, led by state groups like Protect Minnesota and Michael Bloomberg's out of state-funded Everytown, is attempting to take advantage of recent tragedies to drive home their agenda of gun control.

  • Whereas, State Representative Linda Slocum, along with several of her anti-gun colleagues, have introduced the worst gun control bill seen in a decade in the state.

  • Whereas, the bill established a ban on the sale or transfer of most semi-automatic handguns, rifles, and shotguns in the state, including many commonly owned hunting firearms.

  • Whereas, the bill requires registration of all firearms in a database held by your local police. This database requires an annual fee - and forces you to allow the police to inspect your home without a warrant at any time.

  • Whereas, the bill bans possession of suppressors, despite their lack of use in criminal activity.

  • Whereas, the bill contains many other measures that would destroy our Second Amendment rights.

Therefore, as a law-abiding gun owner, I call upon all members of the Minnesota
Legislature to OPPOSE HF 3022 - the Slocum Gun Ban Bill!

This clear and HIGHLY illegal attack on Minnesotans 2nd amendment rights NEEDS to be stopped. Keep me updated on this bill and how to best stop the bill from becoming law. I sure hope Americans don’t forget history and what happens when citizens let/have their guns taken away for “their public safety” History has shown time and again when citizens have their means of self defense taken away the “government” comes in and starts committing GENOCIDE and MASS MURDER killings of it’s citizens the “government” deems to be public dissidents, who most of the time are only voicing their opinions on why said tyrannical government is wrong and needs to be stopped. I urge you fellow Minnesotans, LOOK TO HISTORY and let it be your teacher about what happens when citizens have their right to keep and bare arms stripped away.

“When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.”

Wow, this is not right! My whole family loves hunting! To make a bill like this is against our rights as an American citizen! They need to come up with something a lot better than this! The people that are law abiding citizens that do everything the legal way will suffer! It will not effect the criminals because they buy their guns illegally and will always find a way to get firearms. Criminals purchase guns through black market or the streets will be able to come into your home to steal or do what a criminal does because they can still get their guns illegally. So with that being said it leaves the innocent and the hunters that just want to protect themselves and their loved ones or enjoy a sport that they love doing for most of their lives will not be able to do because of this crazy and ridiculous bill they are trying to pass!

This bill would do nothing to stop school shootings, and will only punish law abiding citizens. Stop, Stop, this madness now. And start addressing the real problems in this country and in Minnesota. Number one the mental health issues, also start enforcing the current laws.
