We believe it's important for the public to understand gun control groups and efforts throughout the state, and how deeply they are connected to elected officials, out of state groups, and law enforcement leaders.
In many cases, we've been able to use the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA) to obtain public records, e-mails, documents, and other information, that help expose things that the anti-gun groups and officials don't want the public to know about.
We believe that sunlight is the best remedy!
Current Exposure Efforts
-
Minnesota Coalition for Common Sense: In February 2016, the anti-gun group Americans for Responsible Solutions announced the formation of a new statewide anti-gun effort in Minnesota. The new group is called the "Minnesota Coalition for Common Sense" and includes many business executives, law enforcement leaders, non-profit leaders, and anti-gun activists in the state.
See our page on the Minnesota Coalition for Common Sense for more information on this group, including our correspondence and data practices act requests.
